As the math club announced during MMM there will be a pie baking competition which will take place both Thursday and Friday. Whoever wants to bake a pie please drop off your pies at the front desk and put a sticky note with a number on it: make sure to also write your name on the sheet next to it with that number (there will be instructions on Ms. Rorey’s desk). Contestants will be judged on Best Presentation, Best Overall, and Best Taste and the winners will get a YourPie $20 gift card.
As for the pi recitation contest it will take place during both 1st and 2nd lunch. The math club member volunteer will take a video of you while you recite and the winner will also receive a $20 gift card. Happy Pi Day(3.14)!

“Nina is an outstanding young woman, soccer player, and leader for our team. This season at center back she has not only denied many goal scoring opportunities for our opponents but she has also scored 2 goals this season! Nina leads by example by giving her full focus and effort at practice and in games. She exemplifies ‘excellence with honor’ and we are proud to have her as a Spartan!“ –Rachel Hines, Head Coach Varsity Girls Soccer“Kingsley is deserving of Spartan of the Week because he exhibits the three C’s of a true team captain. He genuinely cares about his teammates on and off the field, often offering helpful advice to his teammates. He models courage in his spirit and intensity expected of the team, and consistent in his effort to improve the group, giving 100% at practice and games.“ –Stefan Billmayer, Head Coach Varsity Boys Soccer
