Solar Eclipse 2024!

Spartans, mark your calendars for Monday, April 8, 2024! We are in for a rare astronomical treat—a solar eclipse. In Athens we will experience 84% coverage of the sun. For reference, it was 99% covered in 2017.

Here’s the Scoop:

- When: Monday, April 8, 2024. Partial eclipse begins at 1:47 and mid eclipse is at 3:06. It is over at 4:22.

Safety: Looking directly at the sun can damage your eyes. Make sure to use solar eclipse glasses. We will provide those to you.

READ THIS: Eclipse Safety by NASA. And remember we are NOT IN THE PATH OF TOTALITY, so it will NEVER BE SAFE for us to look directly at this eclipse.
