Spartans of the Week! (Week of April 1):
“Brad had an outstanding week in the Spartans three wins against Union County (Week of March 25). He led the Spartans offensively with eight hits, six RBIs, and three runs scored. Brad was equally impressive defensively with ten assists, six putouts, and three double plays turned. We are extremely proud of Brad for all of his hard work and dedication to baseball. Piedmont Healthcare is excited to offer Free Sport Physicals April 27, 2024. Athens Academy is scheduled at 8:00am. Piedmont Orthopedic and Sports Medicine is located at 1305 Jennings Mill Rd, Building 300, Watkinsville, GA. When you arrive, follow for signs directing you to the school’s entry point. Athletes must have a complete health history with parent signature to receive a physical, or they will not receive care. Rising 9-12 grades only. No Exceptions. Preparticipation Athletic Physical forms may be found on each team and parent page under “downloads” or stop by the athletic office to pick one up.

Sign up to volunteer at Festival Day HERE!
Attention Sophomores: HOBY’s flagship program, the State Leadership Seminar is designed to help high school sophomores to recognize their leadership talents and apply them to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, workplace and community. Students explore their own personal leadership skills while learning how to lead others and make a positive impact in their community. This is a overnight program that takes place June 7-9 on the campus of Georgia College, Milledgeville. If interested in attending, please answer the question below and submit to Mr. Olson no later than Thursday April 11th.
Essay Question: Describe the most rewarding and most challenging aspects of being a leader in your school and community.
Brinkley is collecting solar eclipse glasses from Monday that will be donated to the organization, “Astronomers without Borders.” They collect these glasses and provide them to 3rd world countries. You can drop them off in the deans office if you still have yours. Thank you so much!
The City of Refuge and Campus Kitchen are two great places for volunteering and the latter has the choice of volunteering on the weekends which is super convenient for people who have crazy schedules! Below are the links to the two places and all you have to do is simply sign-up. Athens Academy’s Interact Club is excited to partner with Rise Against Hunger to host a meal packaging event on campus on Saturday, April 27, from 9-11:30 a.m. in the Tillman Center. The packaging events are a fun way to make a difference for people around our country and our world, and they’re a great volunteer opportunity for parents, students, family and friends.
