Congratulations to junior Harriet Bartell for being named
Spartans of the Week! (Week of November 11):

“In her very first year as an Athens Academy cheerleader, Harriet has quickly made an outstanding impression. She exemplifies hard work, dedication, and a drive to learn and perfect correct technique. In practice, Harriet is always adaptable to changes and challenges making her a reliable teammate. On the sidelines, her spirit shines through with her smiles, cheers, and impressive tumbling. In addition to her skill and work ethic, Harriet’s kindness and supportive nature are undeniable. She is a dependable teammate and a wonderful addition to Spartan Cheer as she embodies the spirit of a Spartan both on and off the field!”
– Kellye Hill, Head Coach Varsity Cheerleading

Winter Break |
- Academic classes will be held whether or not an exam is given, and students are expected to attend all of their academic classes; students should know whether or not to expect an exam in the fall and the spring or if their classes will have alternative assessments instead.
- Students are expected to stay for the entire testing time (block) and may not leave if they finish early.
- Mrs. Zalac must approve pre-arranged absences.
- When students have free blocks, (non-academic) electives, or study halls, they needn’t attend school although students may be on campus; we will have supervision for students who need to be on campus for the entire day (bus riders or others who need to stay).
- Students who receive extended time should be proactive about their exams and be sure that they have time for lunch if they have two exams in one day.
- As always, the honor code will be followed and enforced.
** Tillman Center will be open for all US students from 11:55-12:25 only.
