NHS signup to volunteer at Family Science Night!

It is time for our annual NHS service project; Family Science Night!!  This is such a wonderful ACAD tradition, and a night that our younger Spartans look forward to each year.  Remember, this is mandatory for all current NHS members.  NHS volunteers will be given a pizza dinner before the event.  The event will take place on Thursday February 20 from 6-7:30pm, and volunteers should arrive NO LATER than 5:15pm and plan to stay until 8pm.

This week all current active NHS members will begin receiving an email with a google form to sign up for a station.  Please select your top location to volunteer, and the locations will be filled up on a first come first served basis.  The invitation to sign up will be sent to Senior NHS members on Tuesday 1/28 and Junior NHS members on Wednesday 1/29.  If you have any questions please contact Ms. Neves.

State Swim Meet Result:
The team performed well with the girls finishing in 8th place out of 43 teams and that was with only 4 swimmers! Pretty impressive! The boys finished in 37th place out of 43 teams, but we only had one swimmer, Luke Phillips. Both girls relays finished in 6th place, out of 20 in the 200 medley, and out of 14 in the 400 free. The girls relay team swimmers were Riley Harding, Addie Savage, Ella Dillon and Bailey Tomlinson.

Region Basketball Tournament
Today, the boys play Banks Co @ 5:30 pm with the girls playing Oglethorpe Co at 7:00 pm. All Tournament games will be played at Piedmont University, Demerest, GA.  With a win today the teams will play again Wednesday and Friday.  A loss ends the tournament, but both teams will advance to the GHSA Class A DI-3A State Tournament starting next week.
