Do not park in the middle rows of the Senior Lot please. These spaces are reserved for parents and special guests.

Advisory Pumpkin Painting: Next Thursday!

Student Council Halloween Assembly: Next Friday!

Spartan Sisters: Don’t forget to meet in the Warner Amphitheater (outside the library) tomorrow (Wednesday) at 8:10am for “the BIG reveal”!

On Thursday during seminar, you will receive an email from Registrar@athensacademy.org (from Mrs. Chester) with a Google Form Link to sign up for Spring Semester Electives.  Please take a look at the following Spring Elective Offerings to see which courses you may want to sign up to take in January!

All students should be enrolled in at least SIX classes for the Spring Semester (unless you have been granted an exception through the Upper School Office and Mrs. Zalac).  For most students, this consists of your FIVE academic courses and then one elective (elective could be academic, fine arts or athletic).  Some students do have SIX academic courses and an additional elective.  Most electives are taken per semester (orchestra is an exception as it is a year-long elective), and so many of you need to indicate which elective you would like to take for the Spring 2026 semester.

A comprehensive list of ALL electives (and the blocks they are offered) is linked again HERE.  Please review the elective offerings and select your FIRST and SECOND choices.  Please only select electives that will fit into your current schedule.  For instance, if you have an academic class during a given block, you cannot also take an elective during that same block!  We cannot shuffle around year-long academic courses to accommodate  elective choices.

Deadline: October 31

The Literary Magazine is accepting submissions!

October is the month where the leaves start to change, the temperature begins to drop, and the nights get longer. All of these changes lend themselves to an element of spookiness which is mirrored in the celebration of Halloween at the end of the month. Write a piece:

  • Where a monster is disguised as a character OR a character is disguised as a monster

  • That takes place somewhere that appears normal upon first glance, but isn’t

  • About a fall (this can be the season, an object falling, or a metaphorical fall like a fall from grace, etc.)

Submit your pieces here! You DO NOT have to respond to the prompts; submit any pieces that you have!
