Athens Academy is pleased to announce senior Mason Harvill is scheduled to sign with Oxford College of Emory University where he will continue participating with soccer.
Please join the athletic department Monday, April 29th at 10:30 am in the Sinkwich Spartan Center as we recognize Mason and his family for his past accomplishments and wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

Rising 10, 11, 12

We had Interact members interested in attending  RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards), a free leadership camp (scholarships are provided to our interact members by our Rotary Club) that is a blast at Tallulah Falls School May 29-June 1st.  BUT they can’t go now b/c of cheer camp.  And the applications are due!!  They are easy to complete–just on line forms.  Our Rotary Club has already paid, so this leaves us in a real sticky situation.
Here is info on the camp:  RYLA CAMP
SO, if you want to go to this FREE camp and your parents tell you that you can go, we need to turn in easy peasy forms today.  WE HAVE 2 FREE SPOTS and this is an awesome leadership development and FUN program.
Trevor, Alexa, Cooper, and Vidhi have all been before and they had LOTS of fun and made friends with kids from all over North GA. We have sent kids every year!
So, write me back and let me know……Come see me with questions.  Basically, the withdrawal of our other participants has left us in a lurch and now we will have to give these two spots to the first two who can commit and get their applications in!

SPICE DRIVE: Today is the last day!

Through the 26th, we will be collecting various spices to donate to the Athens Area Homeless Shelter. To them spices are a luxury that isn’t a priority when it comes to a finite amount of money. So, we will be collecting unexpired, unopened spices in front of Mrs. Bowles desk, Myers galley, and in the lobby of the Chambers Center. Please help us reach our goal to give a little back.
