As the weather is changing, and we’re pulling out our winter clothes, please remember:
Flannel shirts have to be buttoned – can’t do it like this. Sorry!
This is “baseball t-shirt” – can’t wear this. Sorry!
Guys, this is “long underwear”, not a sweater – can’t wear this unless you wear a collared shirt underneath and you don’t want to do that! Sorry!

Drama Club members included Maddie Connor, Oswaldo Jara Rivera, Annie Luke, Luke Bright, Patrick Rodrigue, Wade Slatcher, Elizabeth Raeber, Hadley Spurlock. The group was chaperoned by Drama Club sponsor, Lorraine Thompson and Katie Terry, Drama Club Assistant Sponsor.

Reminder: Progress Report grades are released at the end of the month (October 27). Students who are not passing will be placed on academic probation. Students on academic probation may not participate in GHSA activities, which include the One Act Play and athletics. These students are also placed in study halls during their free periods. This is done in an effort to create an environment where students can pull up their grades. Our handbook’s policy can be found here.
Service and Leadership
Miracle and Pop Culture Club have partnered up to raise money for Children’s healthcare of Atlanta! We are doing a coin drive and we have two jars in Myers for donations. Each month we will have a new controversial pop culture topic to vote on. This month it is Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West! So pick your favorite and place your vote by placing coins (or dollars) into the corresponding jar! At the end of the month, we’ll announce the winner! All money goes to help Childrens’ Healthcare of Atlanta! So have some fun and help those in need!
Congratulations to freshman Chloe Love Bell for being named Spartan of the Week! (Week of October 9):
“Chloe has been a great team player and has filled multiple roles for us so far this season. She is always willing to step in wherever we need her and compete very well! Chloe has a great attitude, works hard, and keeps things fun for everyone. I am so proud of her and excited for all she will accomplish in volleyball! Great job, Chloe!” – Jane Thomas, Head Coach Varsity Volleyball
