Danielle Norris showed KINDNESS by guiding a lost freshman through the media center in hopes of finding his advisory group.

Wyatt Smith showed RESPECT for his teacher and his classroom by staying after class to clean the lab area.

A big thanks to Kasey Ehrenreich, Lizzy Walker, Clara Miller, Daniel Fern, Christopher Thurmond, Sarah Elizabeth Thurmond, Charlotte Luke, Moira Lockwood, Holt Leach, Ronan Ruiz, Grant Brown, Noah Allen, Kamara Adogu, Ethan Chambers, Katherine Woody and Eleanor Connolly.  The Drama Club Leadership Retreat was a successful event showing TEAMWORK and PASSION.

First week of school special schedule black and white_2018

Today is our pep rally! Please WALK (do not drive) to the Spartan Center at 2:25 – start heading over right then. Cheerleaders and 12th Man may be dismissed at 1:50 to prepare for the pep rally and do have permission to drive to the Spartan Center. We all should be seated by 2:35 in the middle. Everyone needs to go to the pep rally – it is mandatory and fun! Get spirited!


 

Have you ever traveled to India? Do you have family in India or were you born in India? Do you love Indian food, clothing, dance, or music? Please come share your awesome experiences with Mrs. Coleman’s World Languages class! We would LOVE to have you share your interest or connection to all things Indian!

ARLECCHINOThe One Act Play this year is a comedy, Arlecchino & the City of Love. 

*  A copy  of the script is available by a link found on Spartan Net on the One Act Play page.

*  Auditions for One Act are Thursday and Friday of this week from 4:15-6:15 in the Presentation Hall.  All are welcome!!!!

Athens Area Homeless Shelter, 620 Barber Street Athens GA 30601

Please join us for our first Shelter Dinner this Friday 8/17 taking place at the Athens Area Homeless Shelter. We will begin making tacos at 4:30pm and will be finished by 5:30pm. If you are planning on attending please confirm to bolson@athensacademy.org

2018-19 Youth Leadership Oconee Applications are available using the link below. Current 10th and 11th grade students who want to further develop their leadership skills and channel those skills towards helping others and improving their community should apply! Before applying make sure to review program dates and attendance requirements. Deadline for submission is Friday, August 24.
