ACCGOV Seeks Rising 10th-12th Grade Students for Mayor’s Youth Commission
The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government (ACCGOV) is seeking applications by Sunday, April 7 from rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students who are interested in taking part in the new Mayor’s Youth Commission. Eligible students can attend public or private schools or be homeschooled, but must be Athens-Clarke County residents.
Activities for the 11-member Mayor’s Youth Commission will run from September through May, with one possible summer meet-and-greet session, and require at least five to eight hours of commitment each month. Youth Commissioners can serve up to three years of September through May terms. The inaugural Mayor’s Youth Commission will help determine more details about the program.
Abigail Springer, Grant Brown, Anannya Das, Kavya Menke, Sarah Bart and Zach Daniels will be performing with the Athens Youth Symphony on April 7th at 4:00 at Hodgeson Hall. It’s going to be good! Come support!
