Kitty Fan, Lucy Waugh, Steven Holder, Davis McLanahan, Kate Kleiber, Clark O’Neill, Brennan Shepstone, and Kathryn Nichols showed TEAMWORK, PASSION, and COURAGE during the Robotics Assembly today!

Turner Trapnell showed KINDNESS, PASSION, INTEGRITY, COURAGE and RESPECT but speaking at the rising ninth grade parents’ night Tuesday evening.

McKenzie Elrod showed KINDNESS and INTEGRITY by decorating for the Valentine’s Day Assembly.

Anna Barkley, Charlotte Knight, Mary Brooke Barber, Eleanor Connolly, Downing Barber, John Wolfe McLean, Benton Kleiber, Wallace Trapnell and Jessica Ford showed PASSION and COURAGE by participating in our Valentines Day Assembly.

Special/Professional Dress Day!

  • Ties, dress shirts, and dress pants are required for boys.
  • Professional-length skirts, dresses or slacks, and blouses are required for girls; length should be mid-thigh or longer.
  • Dress shoes are required (athletic shoes are not permitted).

Calling all writers/photographers/artists! The ACAD Lit Review deadline is Feb. 21. Submit up to 3 written pieces or 5 photos to litreview@athensacademy.org. Work cannot exceed 3,000 words. An outside judge will select one published piece/winner will receive a $50 Amazon gift card. Submission does not guarantee publication. See Jessica Ford’s email instructions for detailed formatting guidelines or reach out to Ms. Evans.

NHS signup to volunteer at Lower School Science Night!


All students being inducted into the National Honor Society next week need to attend a brief meeting on Friday morning during the break.  We will meet in Bertlesmann and if everyone hurries and we start on time it should only take a few minutes.  Please see Mrs. Street with questions or if you can’t make it.


Attention: Juniors registered for the on-campus ACT (February 25) and/or SAT (March 4). Take advantage of the following Wednesday morning test prep sessions (8:30-9:30 a.m.) in the Bertelsmann PH.  Bring a pencil or pen and a calculator (math only); practice test materials will be provided.
