Club Draft Assembly: Wednesday, Sept. 16!

Congratulations to senior Ethan Connelly for being named SPARTAN OF THE WEEK (week of August 31): “Ethan is a three year starter. He is a great teammate and mentor to others on the Spartan Football Team. He is tough, dependable and durable. Below is the link to apply to the Watson Brown Junior Board of Directors. Members of the Junior Board are charged with responsibility for evaluating grant applications connected to local historic preservation projects and allocating the money needed to fund them. The Junior Board has some $30,000 to distribute each year. Several past and present Academy students have served on the Board and have found it both an enjoyable and beneficial experience. With Covid-19 disrupting so many opportunities for extra-curricular activities, this might prove a good one to check out.

Until Club Draft officially takes place on September 16, club leaders can meet Wednesday mornings to begin thinking about recruitment and year goals. Students that are not involved in clubs yet do not need to be on campus until their first class (with parent permission).
