All inductees for NHS should plan to meet in the Presentation Hall on Wednesday, October 21 at 8:20 am. Please make sure you are in Special Dress – if your parents are attending the induction in-person, please make sure they have notified Mrs. Ward or Mrs. Street by Monday afternoon. The Zoom link for those attending virtually will be sent the day before the induction. Please see Mrs. Street with any questions.

Math Club Peer Tutoring Program
Do you like math? Do you like helping other people? If so, then you should get involved in the Math Club Peer Tutoring Program! (Math Club participation not required.) Participants will volunteer one or more times per week to help Upper School math students during drop-in tutoring. You will get to pick which subjects you want to tutor and what time(s) you want to volunteer. Training will be provided. This program is a great way to help your peers, gain tutoring experience, and earn credit hours simultaneously! Fill out the application below:
Congratulations to senior McKenzie Elrod for being named SPARTAN OF THE WEEK (week of October 5): “McKenzie has been such a pleasure to have on the cheer team! Over the past two years, she has been a positive, sweet, and kind cheerleader to any and everyone she has crossed paths with. She is always seeking ways to improve her skills and always helps me with new ideas on how to incorporate more spirit at Athens Academy! Over the past few weeks, I have asked McKenzie to move to new stunt groups and try things she’s never done before. She has tackled each challenge without a second thought, and excelled in each of them! She is so dependable and respectful, and she is an athlete that you just love having on a team. For this week’s Region VB Tournament, and any potential home state tournament matches, we welcome all spectators to attend. The admission price is $6 per person for the Region Tournament. Face coverings are required upon entrance to the SSC and must remain on the individual the entire match.
