Attention readers! Due to overwhelmingly good participation in the last two book club meetings, The Spartan Book Club will split for our next meeting. 9th and 10th graders have voted and will read The House on the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune. 11th and 12th graders will read The Push by Ashley Audrain. Our next meeting will be the week of December 6-9th. Please see Mrs. Street with any questions and happy reading!
“Wendy has brought such a positive, bright spirit to our JV Cheerleading team this season. She comes into every practice and game with a big smile on her face, ready to cheer on the Spartans, and to help her team in any way she can. Wendy is always ending our practices with uplifting compliments to encourage her teammates and she is always the first to volunteer for anything she can. Some may have seen Wendy selling her heart out at our Spirit Table on Friday nights, and she has been a driving force in our spirit item sales. She has volunteered and taken extra shifts to work the Spirit Table just because she loves being involved and spreading spirit at Athens Academy. We are so lucky to have Wendy in our program and we look forward to watching her grow as an Athens Academy Cheerleader during the basketball cheer season! Great job, Wendy!!“ –Kelsie Webb, Head Coach, Cheerleading
