Candy Grams are $1 each and may be purchased outside of The Deans’ Office. Deadline is next Monday morning at 8:00 am. They will be delivered in MMM next Tuesday!

Winter Collection

1. The Salvation Army is in need of any new or gently used toys. Families in the Clarke County School district are in coats.

2. We will be collecting these items now through next Friday, Dec. 10.

3. Give your items to your advisor who will keep track of participation.

4. If everyone in your advisory participates, your advisory will receive donuts!

5. The advisory who brings in the most, will receive a dress down week!

Performers are Will DeLoach, Courtney Coffeen, Wade Slatcher, Collin Edge, Mills Crosland, Lexi Sennowitz, Shelby Ladner, Elizabeth Raeber, Julia Drake, Milaella Murph, Charlie Sanderlin, and Claire Holt.

Congratulations to senior Popi Marquez for being named Spartan of the Week! (Week of November 15):

“Popi Marquez is this week’s Spartan of the Week for her dedicated service producing media viewed by thousands on numerous webcasts for the past 3 years. Starting as a Sophomore, Popi was our 1st sideline reporter which required her to conduct research for prospective interviews, capture and edit media, and handle “live” segments as they “popped” up. Several of her interviews included a pregame interview with Coach Jeff Saturday, an NFL Pro Bowl center, ESPN sports analyst, and then coach of the Hebron Christian Lions. Popi has also conducted several interviews with ACAD football and basketball coaches, as well as numerous alumni like Houston Gaines ’13, Kaleb Bryant ’16, Ned McGregor ’11, and Rahul Singh ’07. She’s currently serving as co-president of the Media Production club and is hoping to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism. Go Spartans!“ –Mike Callinan, Webcast

Attention readers! Due to overwhelmingly good participation in the last two book club meetings, The Spartan Book Club will split for our next meeting. 9th and 10th graders have voted and will read The House on the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune. 11th and 12th graders will read The Push by Ashley Audrain. Our next meeting will be the week of December 6-9th. Please see Mrs. Street with any questions and happy reading!
