Congratulations to violinists Daniel Huang ’22 and Simms Murray ’23 on passing the extremely competitive second round of the 2022 All-State Orchestra auditions. These students will represent Athens Academy at the final audition on January 15 at the Westminster Schools in Atlanta.

Java Joy will be here on Wednesday, Dec. 15 from 11:00-12:30 outside of Bertlesmann PH! Our ESP group raised enough money so that YOU may have free coffee and hot chocolate! A special shout out to Marie Rutledge and Emmeline Land!
Winter Collection
1. The Salvation Army is in need of any new or gently usedtoys. Families in the Clarke County School district are in need of coats, jackets, hats, gloves, solid colored sweatshirts, new socks, khakis and weather-related items.
2. We will be collecting these items now through TODAY!
3. Give your items to your advisor who will keep track of participation.
4. If everyone in your advisory participates, your advisory will receive donuts!
5. The advisory who brings in the most, will receive a dress down week!

Congratulations to senior Sara Mack Lowe for being named Spartan of the Week! (Week of November 29):
“Sara Mack is an active member of the ACAD Drama Department. She has taken acting classes, been a strong participant in the Drama Club, and has performed in several school and community theatre productions. Recently, as a member of the one act company of “Quilters”, Sara Mack’s acting talents were recognized by the Georgia High School Association. She was titled “Best Actress” in the Region One Act Competition and “All Star Cast” in the State One Act Competition. Sara Mack is a beloved member of the Drama Department. Her talents, sense of humor, and leadership will be sorely missed next year! Sara Mack plans to participate in the upcoming Spring production of “Clue” and is excited for what the future holds.“–Lorraine Thompson, One Act Play
