Don’t Forget about the Diaper Drive now thru Friday!

Diapers are not covered by government assistance programs such as WIC or food stamps, yet diapers cost over $1000 per year. This is an economic issue as well as a health issue, because babies need diapers to attend daycare, allowing parents to go to work or school.  In the Athens area alone, over 8,000 children are in need of diapers.  As well as helping local families, the Athens Area Diaper Bank has also been supporting hurricane relief efforts around the state to keep babies healthy & happy.

To support babies and families experiencing diaper need, you can donate diapers of any size or quantity (open boxes or packs are accepted!) any time Oct. 21-28.  Drop off at the Deans’ Office. Let’s help every child in Georgia stay clean, dry, and healthy!  Thank you for considering this worthy cause.

Club Locations on Friday!

Student Council – Art Room
Judiciary Board – W3
Spartan Review – Writing Center

She has been solid both offensively and defensively on the court and has played her best volleyball these last couple of matches as she stepped up for our team in our area tournament matches. I am looking forward to watching her develop as a player even more and excited to see her volleyball career take off! Congratulations, Joci!– Jane Thomas, Head Coach Varsity Volleyball

Don’t forget the Bridges Challenge!

Last semester, we challenged the student body to reflect on their views of others/actions towards others with quotes from Martin Luther King Jr. This year, we would like to challenge the student body again to step out of their comfort zone and experience a different perspective/culture during Global Diversity Awareness Month. For the entire month of October visit any of the restaurants, stores and events listed on this document, and log your experiences on this google form. Each form submission is counted as 1 point, points will be gathered by advisory. The advisory with the most points (form submissions) will receive an advisory breakfast from Bridges!

We hope you enjoy exploring the different communities and events in and around Athens, GA!
