Watson Brown Foundation Applications open!

The WBF Junior Board is a dedicated group of seven to twelve area high school students (grades 10-12) whose mission is to preserve local history. We will have four spots open this year for new members.

Students are entrusted with $33,000 each spring, so we are looking for the best students to join. Students must be able to attend monthly meetings (generally on Wednesday evenings) and commit several hours in the spring to visiting local sites and prepare a presentation for why that site deserves grant funding. This application is due Friday, September 7, including the two reference letters.

Athens Academy will serve as host to the AATEA Theatre Conference on Sept. 15, 2018 from 9 AM-3 PM. The conference is open to all high school students interested in the theatre arts.  Workshops on Stage Combat, Playwriting, Shakespeare, Improvisation, and Theatre Design will be offered.  Registration is free. For more information and to register, go to www.aatea.org.  Scroll down to the Theatre Conference information.  See Ms. T for more information.
